Kare-Kare Udon

We put together an interesting mix of udon noodles and some elements of kare kare and it was delicious. There are some things that you never thought would work out, and this recipe is one of our unexpected favorites!

KARE-KARE UDON

Ingredients:
1 pack udon noodles
4 garlic cloves minced
1 red onion diced
1 tbsp bagoong
¼ cup peanut butter
1 bundle pechay, blanched
2 tbsp annatto
1 sitaw, blanched
1 eggplant, sliced, fried
1/2 kg beef ribs, boiled, fried
1 pack Maggi magic sarap
1 Maggi chicken cube
1 liter water

Garnish:
crushed nuts
annatto oil

Procedure:
1. Saute onions and garlic before pressure cooking the beef ribs massaged with Maggi Magic Sarap and Maggi chicken cube for 45 mins to 1 hour.
2. Take the beef out and lightly dust with cornstarch before frying and setting aside.
3. In the remaining liquid, add peanut butter, bagoong, noodles and color with annato
4. Serve in a bowl and top with veggies, meat, and crushed nuts. Makes 1-2 servings.
