Pilgrim Restaurant in Davao was born from Chef Jeramie Go’s dream of opening a restaurant of his own.
After spending almost 17 years in Canada, Jeramie returned to the Philippines and built Pilgrim with his family. Its menu draws from the food they ate at home and the different cuisines Jeramie encountered while working abroad.
Pilgrim’s story is also about the community around it–the family hires and trains locals, including people from farming and other trades, giving them opportunities to develop new skills and find more stable work.
