ADOBO STICKY RICE

Ingredients:
1 cup long grain rice, washed and soaked
1 cup glutinous rice, washed and soaked
5 tbsp oil
½ cup vinegar
4 tbsp soy sauce
½ tsp black peppercorns, crushed
2 pcs bay leaves
3 cloves garlic, crushed
3 cloves garlic, sliced
½ kg pork belly, adobo cut
1 sachet Maggi Magic Sarap
2 tbsp Maggi Oyster Sauce
2-3 cups water
garlic chips (garnishing)
2 eggs, hard boiled (garnishing)
2 tbsp green onions, finely chopped (garnishing)

Procedure:
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, render your pork until it’s slightly crispy then add in the garlic and peppercorns.
2. Add vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaves, water, and Maggi Magic Sarap. Let the water boil, then turn down the heat to a simmer until the sauce has reduced and has thickened slightly.
3. Remove the meat, add your Maggi Oyster Sauce and rice. Add more water to fully cover the rice and wait for it to cook.
4. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a plate, and sprinkle it with more crispy garlic chips and your hard boiled eggs before serving. Makes 2-3 servings.
