Chicken poppers earn their name by being quick, bite-sized bursts of flavor. Just pop one in your mouth and taste the blend of flavors! We’re putting together our own banger version of the snack with Bang Bang Chicken.
Bang Bang Chicken
Ingredients
½ kg chicken breast fillet, cut into 1-inch chunks
Egg Wash
1 tbsp Maggi Magic Sarap
1 pc egg
1 cup milk
Coating
½ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup cornstarch
1 tsp Maggi Magic Sarap
½ tsp pepper
oil for deep frying
Bang Bang Sauce
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp chili oil
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tbsp Maggi Oyster Sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
Chili flakes, to taste
Garnish
Toasted sesame seeds
Chopped spring onions
Procedure
Combine magic sarap, egg, and milk. Add chicken and marinate for at least 5 minutes.
Combine flour, cornstarch, magic sarap, and pepper. Set aside.
Remove chicken from the liquid, shaking off the excess. Coat each piece in the flour mixture and fry until golden brown and fully-cooked.
Combine all the sauce ingredients. Toss the chicken in bang bang sauce and top with sesame seeds and spring onions. Makes 6 servings.
