Day in the Life of A Surfer in Catanduanes Philippines

Catanduanes is a hidden paradise located in the Bicol region of the Philippines. It is an island province in the eastern most part of Luzon and is a surfer’s paradise for locals and foreigners alike. It is also known for abaca that is grown all over the province.

We visited the “Happy Island” to learn more about its people, the food, and how it continues to rebuild and thrive despite being hit by massive typhoons year after year due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean.

For our first video in Catanduanes, we talked to the local surfers and fishermen in Puraran to get a glimpse into their daily lives as they fish for crabs, lobsters, and more.
