Crispy Okra Fries

Whether you love or hate okra, this recipe just changed the game! Cooking this is quite simple and it doesn’t need a lot of ingredients. It’s also a great way to use your leftover okra from your last sinigang recipe (we’re looking at you!) Try this at home today.

CRISPY OKRA FRIES

Ingredients:
1 bundle okra
3 cloves garlic, grated
½ tbsp paprika
2 tsp garam masala
1 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp Maggi Magic Sarap
1 cup fine rice flour
½ cup cornstarch
2 tbsp water
3 tbsp oil
oil for deep-frying
Dip:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 clove garlic, grated
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tbsp cane vinegar
Procedure:
1. Wash okra then pat dry. Slice and take off the top of each okra, leaving the tail intact. Slice each okra into quarters lengthwise.
2. Combine garlic, onion powder, Maggi Magic Sarap, and garam masala. Toss in okra and let it sit for at least 10 minutes.
3. Combine rice flour and cornstarch. Dredge each okra in flour mixture and fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
4. Mix the dip ingredients then serve with okra fries.
