From Banker to Gyudon Master

It’s stereotypical for children of Asian families to enter into a corporate job or the medicinal/juridical field. Jake Aycardo was no exception to this. Like many of his peers, Jake went into the world of finance; a career that not only granted security, but was also considered reputable.

Soon enough, Jake realized that his calling was outside the four walls of the bank. The numbers that mattered to Jake were no longer those of financial accounts, but measurements of ingredients and spices.

Risks can be intimidating but Kodawari’s founder braved through it and is now running a well-received food business.

If you’re a gyudon lover, you better watch his story!

Pandemic Kitchens is a new series featuring food businesses that sprung during this trying time.
