Savory Garlic Beef Pepper Rice

This beef dish is a great easy-to-make comfort food.

Just mix perfectly cooked mushrooms, well-seasoned beef, and hot rice then you’re good to go! This dish is a great addition to any menu from simple weekend bites to dinners with kids! PS: A crispy fried egg on top is *chef’s kiss*

Garlic Mushroom Pepper Beef

½ kg thinly sliced beef sirloin
½ tsp baking soda
½ tbsp magic sarap
½ tsp crushed pepper
3 tbsp oil
1 tbsp minced garlic
4 tbsp minced onions
¼ cup chopped mushrooms (mixed)
1 tbsp maggi magic sarap
½ tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch, dissolved in ¼ cup water
2 cups cooked rice
1 strip leek, chopped
Crunchy garlic
Crunchy onions
Fried egg
Chili oil

In a bowl, mix together beef and baking soda. Let it sit for 15 minutes then rinse. Season with magic sarap and pepper.

In a pan with hot oil, cook mushrooms and season with magic sarap, soy sauce, and sugar.

On a sizzling plate, place 1 cup of rice followed by the beef and mushrooms. Top with chopped leeks and a fried egg. Makes 2 servings
