STRAWBERRY SANDO

Ingredients:
6 slices milk bread
Jam:
12 strawberries, equal sizes
½ cup white sugar
Pastry Cream:
2 pcs egg yolks
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 cups milk
½ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp unsalted butter
Whipped Cream:
2 packs Nestle All-Purpose Cream, chilled overnight
3 tbsp powdered sugar
Procedure:
1. Chop three pieces of strawberries and palace in a small saucepan with white sugar. Cook until strawberries are mushy then set aside to cool down completely.
2. In a large bowl, mix together egg yolks, cornstarch, and a splash of milk. Set aside. In a pot, combine milk and sugar then heat up until steaming, not boiling. Temper the cream by adding the hot milk into the egg yolk mixture while continuously stirring then add the mixture back into the pot over low heat. Mix until you get a thick consistency. Remove from heat then add vanilla and butter. Mix until smooth. Cool down completely.
3. In a bowl, whip your cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks then fold in the strawberry jam. Fold whipped cream into cooled pastry cream.
4. Place ¼ cup on a piece of bread and place three pieces of strawberries in the middle. Add another ¼ cup of cream mixture then top with a slice of bread. Cut in half then serve.
