Manila could be the next big food destination! Chef Alvin Cailan is undoubtedly one of the most prominent figures of the Filipino American food movement in the United States. He is back in the Philippines to pay homage to his roots and to learn more about contemporary Pinoy dining.
From opening the popular Eggslut in LA, to writing his new cookbook, “Amboy”, Chef Alvin is on a mission to spread the good vibes and flavors of his kitchen to the world.
The challenge: to try the newest fine dining Filipino restaurants in the country. Chef Alvin is meeting the modern tastemakers of the local culinary scene like Chef Chele Gonzalez of Asador Alfonso, Don Baldosano of Linamnam MNL, Chef Stephan Duhesme of Metiz, and Chef JP Cruz of Inatô.
